A Glimmer of Hope
Tim and I learned that we are pregnant with another little girl this week. Our little bean is due October 26th, and we couldn't be more thrilled. It has been a whirlwind pregnancy already, and we can only hope that the next 18 weeks pass as quickly as the last 18.
Cara Grace March 18 (38.5 weeks) 5 lbs, 15 ounces, 19 inches
Cara Grace was a completely healthy little girl born silently into this world 10 days before her due date. We experienced the ideal pregnancy without a single known risk factor. It was only after her death that a treatable blood condition was diagnosed.
We grieve not having her here with us every day. She was our firstborn, our only child, the joy of our life.
We take comfort in knowing Cara is with God, but we do not believe that her death was part of some big plan. Death, sickness, brokenness, they are all contrary to the original design of life. We take hope that a day is coming when all will be redeemed and life in its fullness will be restored.
Until then we wait with joyful anticipation for the day when we will once again see our baby girl...
